KAPLAN-COHEN MATH TUTORING AT SAINT PETER’S CATHOLIC SCHOOL: 

Small groups of 3-6 students in 6th-8th grade will meet with a math tutor for individualized math support after school on Mondays and Tuesdays. The purpose of these sessions will be to help the students with their math homework and study guides. The tutor and students will work together to break down problems, show all work, and understand the “why” behind the whole process. The tutor will work with the students to prepare for upcoming tests by reinforcing the math skills of Saint. Peter’s curriculum. Tutors will also help students strengthen their executive functioning skills, including planning, time management, and organization, reinforcing the positive habit of completing math homework proactively.
